Verified Pet Food Data is, and is intended to remain, a free resource. To cover the cost of building and maintaining it, we earn commissions from retailers when readers click through from this site and make a qualifying purchase. This is standard "affiliate marketing" and is disclosed here in compliance with FTC guidelines.
Which links are affiliate links today
- Amazon — active. "Check price" buy buttons on product and best-of pages route through internal
/go/redirect links that send you to Amazon with our Associates tag applied. If you buy after clicking one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We also record anonymous click analytics (via Google Analytics) on these links so we can see which pages and traffic sources lead to clicks — see our privacy policy. - Direct-to-consumer brands (The Farmer's Dog, Ollie, Spot & Tango, Sundays, Smalls) — not affiliate links. Where we link to these brands' own sites, those are currently plain links: we have no affiliate relationship with them yet (applications are pending). If that changes, this page will be updated and those links will be marked accordingly.
- Chewy and Petco — no relationship. We have no affiliate relationship with either retailer; where they appear on product pages, they are "price coming soon" placeholders, not links.
What this never changes
- Commission relationships never determine which foods appear in the cost database, how they're sorted, or what numbers are shown. Ranking is strictly cost per 1,000 kcal, computed the same way for every SKU regardless of whether we have a commercial relationship with the brand or retailer.
- No brand or retailer can pay for a better ranking, a featured placement, or removal of unfavorable data (including recall records). There are no sponsored placements on this site.
- Every nutrition number traces to an official label or brand source — commissions don't touch the data, and they never will.
- Affiliate buy links are marked with
rel="sponsored"and accompanied by a plain-language note ("We may earn a commission…") wherever they appear.
