A product page answers a question about one food. These answer questions about the industry — the kind of thing that only becomes visible once several thousand labels are sitting in the same table. Every figure is computed from the corpus, the method is stated alongside it, and the findings are free to cite under CC BY 4.0 with attribution.

The State of Pet Food
Cost, composition and transparency across the whole corpus. Wet dog food costs about 5.8× more per 1,000 kcal than dry; dry cat food runs roughly 30% carbohydrate on a dry-matter basis against about 4.6% for wet; and a price model built on label composition plus bag size explains only around half the variation in dry dog food price — the remainder is brand.
Using these figures
Cite them. The licence is CC BY 4.0, which asks for attribution and a link and nothing else. If you are a journalist or researcher who needs a cut of the data we have not published, the contact page reaches us directly. The methodology documents how every field is extracted, and what we refuse to compute explains the claims we will not put a number on at all.
